Infrastructure
Road access is provided via a limited-access expressway – State Road 407. Rail service is at the Titusville Intermodal Terminal site, located 4 miles away. Seaport and airport access are through Port Canaveral – with direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, and the Space Coast Regional and Melbourne Orlando International airports. FPL serves the site through the Cape Canaveral Next Generation Clean Energy Center (1,290 MW).
Incentives
The EDC works closely with our economic development partners at the State of Florida, Space Florida and the various local jurisdictions in the Space Coast region. Your project will be assigned a specific Project Manager with business expertise in your industry area to ensure that all statutory avenues available to lower ALL business taxes and other costs are known and effectively applied for the benefit of your project. The EDC will craft a comprehensive and aggressive incentive package and assist in the preparation of incentive application forms and manage throughout the process in confidentiality.
Quality of Place
Did you know the Space Coast is home to more than 500 species of fish among its diverse waterways and is a top destination for fishermen all over the world? Boating on the Space Coast is always exciting as dolphins and manatees swim by as you explore. Jet skis and flyboards and kiteboards, oh my! With 72 miles of coastline and an intracoastal waterway spanning the county, there’s a watersport for everybody on Florida’s Space Coast. If you’re more of a landlubber, try your hand at smash golf at Duran Golf Club, disc golf at Wickham Park, run a marathon or participate in any number of recreational opportunities all year long.
