Vernique has more than 21 years of experience with Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). She most recently worked with the Commercial and Governmental Services team as a senior customer advisor responsible for building relationships and providing demand energy services. She has worked in various areas of the company and brings experience from the Power Delivery and Transmission and Substation teams.
In 2019, she was named one of South Florida’s Most Influential and Prominent Black Women in Business and Industry and received a Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce Woman of Worth Award.
Vernique is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, graduate of the 2012 Leadership Class of West Palm Beach and 2020 Leadership Class of Riviera Beach, a member of the Board of Governors for the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, and a Trustee Board Member of the Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce. She earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
