Vernique has more than 20 years of experience with Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). She most recently worked with the Commercial and Governmental Services team as a senior customer advisor responsible for building relationships and providing demand energy services. She has worked in various areas of the company and brings experience from the Power Delivery and Transmission and Substation teams. In her role with PoweringFlorida, Vernique will focus on the Life Sciences industry.

In 2019, Vernique was named one of South Florida’s most influential and prominent Black women in business and industry and received a Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce Woman of Worth Award.

Vernique is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, graduate of the 2012 Leadership Class of West Palm Beach and 2020 Leadership Class of Riviera Beach, a member of the Board of Governors for the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, and the Cluster I Coordinator for SARC of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Vernique earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University.

A Florida native, Vernique enjoys volunteering in her local community and traveling the world.
