Senior Economic Development Project Manager

Heather is a senior economic development project manager for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). She supports growing businesses looking to expand or relocate to Florida by assisting them in identifying available sites and buildings, providing electric and infrastructure assessments, as well as educating on incentive rates, benefits and clean energy programs. She assists companies in all industries, with a focus on data centers and cryptocurrency. Heather also manages the Office of Economic Development’s Black and Minority Business Support Programs. 

Heather joined NextEra Energy, in November 2017 as a senior business analyst for Corporate Development, working on corporate strategy and M&A. Most recently worked with FPL’s Major and Governmental Accounts team, where she developed process improvements and strategies to enhance customer relationships and exceed customer expectations.

Prior to joining NextEra Energy, Heather had a decade long career as a top performer in sales and business development. She led strategic initiatives for revenue growth, new business and product development and process improvement in medical, technology and utility industries. Given her passion for Diversity Equity & Inclusion, she has led several D&I teams, initiatives and program implementations.

Heather is a Certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner and Six Sigma Yellow Belt. She attended St. Bonaventure University where she pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Originally from Buffalo, New York, she traded the snowy winters for the Sunshine State and currently resides in Miami.
