Danielle Mousseau is Director of 35 Mules, Florida Power & Light Company's (FPL) innovation hub that provides resources and support to startups with the goal of growing Florida's next generation of world-changing companies. Since 2020, the 35 Mules program has supported 20 startups who have received more than $47 million in investment, funding and grants and has provided a $75 million economic impact to Florida. Danielle and her team take a lead role in connecting the startup ecosystem across the state.
Since joining FPL in 2008, Danielle has held diverse roles in client management, marketing and electric vehicles, including with more than a decade of experience in economic development. Her achievements include earning second-in-nation recognition for utility email communications from J.D. Power and being named one of North America's Top 50 Economic Developers in 2020. Most recently, she was named Synapse Florida Ecosystem Partner of the Year and South Florida Business Journal's "40 under 40."
Danielle serves on Florida Venture Forum’s Board and Executive Board, Synapse Board of Directors and Miami Dade Innovation Authority. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in strategic communication from the University of Minnesota where she played Division I Tennis. A native Floridian, born and raised in South Florida, Danielle resides in Tequesta.
